Are you a new sock knitter wanting to expand your skills? Are you an experienced sock knitter looking for new heel options to use toe up or cuff down? This is the class for you. We will look at the boomerang heel, using the shadow wrap or German short row – bunny ears technique and the Cat Bordhi Sweet Tomato heel. Both of these types of heel can be used in toe up or cuff down heels. The short row boomerang heel makes a more traditional heel whereas the tomato heel makes a very round heel.
You will need to bring one or two socks ready to start heels, so cuffs and leg, or toe and foot done and ready to start the heel. To practice just the techniques, just a small cuff/leg will work. You will need dpns or circulars for magic loop. I use 2.25mm needles, whatever works for your practice and learning is fine.
Take both or just one classes and chose which heel you would like to master.
